Brian Benjamin
PT, DPT, PRC · Co-Founder
Brian grew up in Ohio. He graduated from Ohio University and then received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Slippery Rock University. He lived in Estes Park, CO for 14 years before moving down to Fort Collins. He has a wonderful wife and two beautiful little girls. He started ProActive PT with his friend Andy Collingwood in 2008, after they had worked together in Estes Park for 7 years. He enjoys being outdoors, fishing, sports, and spending as much time with his family as he can.
Brian is Postural Restoration Certified™, a certification achieved by relatively few clinicians, in Colorado and worldwide, which has enabled him to further his capacity to help patients. His special interest include post-surgical rehabilitation.

Andy Collingwood
ACSM EP-C · Co-Founder
Andy grew up in Texas and received his bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University. He is an American College of Sports Medicine Certified Exercise Physiologist (ACSM EP-C). He lived 14 years in Estes Park, CO before moving down to Fort Collins after opening up ProActive PT with Brian. He is married with 3 children and enjoys college football and basketball, playing soccer, hiking, and beer tasting.
Andy works individually with clients in the supervised exercise program. He is also manages our internship program for students interested in pursuing PT.

Craig Depperschmidt
PT, DPT, PRC
Craig is originally from Loveland, CO. He graduated with an integrative physiology degree from University of Colorado and then received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Northern Arizona University. He has practiced PT in Fort Collins since 2009. He specializes in addressing movement and postural dysfunction that leads to abnormal bio-mechanics and pain. He enjoys working with runners, triathletes, and anyone who has a desire to feel better.
In his free time, Craig enjoys competing in running races and triathlons of all distances, climbing 14ers, and spending time with his wife and daughter.
Craig is one of the relatively few clinicians, in Colorado and world-wide, who is Postural Restoration Certified™. He also is an instructor for the Postural Restoration Institute.

Sara Hankins
PT, DPT
Sara grew up in a small farming community in Southwest Colorado and has spent over a decade living in the Fort Collins/Loveland area. In 2013, Sara graduated with her B.S. in Health and Exercise Science from Colorado State University. She then received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Touro University Nevada. In 2018, she returned to her home state of Colorado and rejoined the ProActive team, striving to provide exceptional care to individuals of all ages and backgrounds. Sara has special interests and training in men's and women's pelvic health, Postural Restoration, functional/lifestyle medicine, and longevity. Sara is also a health and wellness coach and birth doula. She values collaboration with other providers and disciplines to provide all-encompassing, holistic care to her clients.
During her free time, Sara enjoys camping, fishing, hiking, and taking advantage of all that the Northern Colorado outdoors has to offer alongside her 2 young children and 2 labradors.

Tracy Benjamin
PT, DPT
Tracy is from Fort Collins, Colorado. She graduated with honors from the University of Northern Colorado with a BS. She then went on to earn her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Slippery Rock University in Pennsylvania. Tracy has over 25 years of experience as physical therapist in a multitude of settings. Tracy is certified in dry needling. She enjoys hiking, paddle boarding, sports, and spending time with her family.

Addison Huck
PT, DPT, CSCS
Addison was born and raised in Williston, ND. He graduated from Colorado State University with degree in Health & Exercise Science. He then received a Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from CU Anschutz. Before college, he served four years in the United States Marine Corp.
He enjoys hanging out with his wife and two young children. His family likes to spend time paddle boarding, and generally enjoying the outdoors.
Addison has a passion for personal training as a certified strength and conditioning coach. He is also certified in dry needling. Overall, he enjoys helping others to instill healthy life behaviors for long term positive outcomes.

Johnny Griffin
PT, DPT
Johnny grew up in a small town in eastern Colorado. He graduated from Colorado State University with a Bachelor of Science in Health and Exercise Science. He then earned his Doctorate degree from Touro University Nevada in Henderson, NV. Johnny recently moved back to Fort Collins in 2024 to join the ProActive team. He is passionate about helping others to achieve their functional goals with all backgrounds and physical capabilities. He is an avid sports fan and his favorite sports team is the Pittsburgh Steelers.
In his free time, you can catch Johnny doing many outdoor activities, playing various sports, or spending time with his friends, family, and his dog Maple. He also recently got engaged! (it's about time...)

Sam deKay
Office & Facility Management
Sam grew up in Durango, Colorado. He is currently employed and loving every single minute of it! He helps out with management of the office and organizing the facility. He highly values communication, teamwork and positivity. He enjoys implementing these aspects with the therapists and enjoys interacting with the patients. He loves being outdoors whether that is grabbing a beer, golfing, or exploring new places around the Rocky Mountains and Fort Collins.

Aubrey Buss
PTA, BS
Aubrey grew up in Harrisburg, PA and moved to Colorado in 2017. She graduated from Lock Haven University with a bachelor's degree in exercise physiology. After moving to Colorado, she began working full-time with the Wyoming Air National Guard as a C-130H mechanic.
Aubrey got her Physical Therapist Assistant license through Laramie County Community College in 2020. She is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Hanover College.
Aubrey enjoys staying active and being outdoors with her two dogs as well as finding a good book or trying a new baking recipe.
