Health and Wellness Coaching
Sara Hankins, PT, DPT, FMHWC aims to provide comprehensive health and wellness coaching tailored to meet your unique needs. Her focus is on empowering you take charge of your health and make lasting changes for yourself, providing knowledge, support, and action-oriented strategies. She is able to offer support, accountability, collaboration, education, and resources as well as translate a medical practitioner’s plan of care into a plan of action. She is experienced in assisting with physical activity protocols, dietary changes, and food plans. Many coaching clients report improved quality of life, physical health improvements, improved emotional well-being, and feeling less stressed.
Sara is a believer in the functional medicine approach to managing health conditions as it is individualized, systems-based, treats the root causes (not just symptoms), and supports a preventative health mindset. Through her practice as a physical therapist, she has also observed the power of addressing root causes, often discussing lifestyle and behavioral factors as they relate to her patients' pain and dysfunction.
Credentials
Sara is a Functional Medicine Certified Health and Wellness Coach through the Functional Medicine Coaching Academy in conjunction with the Institute of Functional Medicine.
She completed her certification in August of 2025 and aims to pursue board certification in health and wellness coaching in 2026.
Health and Wellness Services
Discovery Session (15 minutes)
A free 15 minute collaborative meeting to introduce coaching, introduce coach Sara, determine if health and wellness coaching is a good fit, and to assess your goals.
Foundation Session (45 minutes)
The foundation session begins to establish your long-term vision for your health and wellness. We dive into your current journey and leverage your strengths, values, and personal goals to co-create an action-oriented plan.
Follow-up Session (45 minutes)
Follow-up sessions keep you accountable to the action-oriented plan outlined in the foundation session. We discuss current challenges, wins, and make any modifications to the plan as needed.
